Share a project with collaborators

Invite an editor, beta reader or co-author, choose what they can do, and see what changed.

Updated Oct 11, 2026

Collaboration is part of the Studio plan (when it shows Coming soon, it isn't available yet).

Invite someone

  1. Open the project and choose Collaborators.
  2. Enter their email and a role, then Send invitation. The link is valid for 14 days.

Roles

  • Reader — reads the manuscript.
  • Commenter — reads and leaves comments.
  • Editor — also edits the text and uploads files.

Only you, the owner, change settings, roles and sharing, or delete the project.

Storage and AI

Files your collaborators upload count against your storage, because the project is yours. Editors can only use AI tools on your project if you allow it in Project settings, optionally with a monthly limit.

Recent activity

The Collaborators page shows who was invited, who joined, role changes and removals — never the text itself.

You can change a role or remove someone at any time; a collaborator can also leave on their own.
